How to Add a Networked Printer

  1. Open Windows Explorer (or File Explorer) by clicking on the folder icon on the taskbar or Computer (or This PC in Windows 10).
  2. In the address bar, type the address of the district print server: \\fs1. Make sure to use backslashes "\\" found above the Enter key!
  3. Find the printer you want to install and simply double-click it. A window will pop up displaying the status of the printer installation, do not close this window. You'll know the printer has installed when you see the printer queue pop up.
  4. Happy printing!
